Abstract

The existence of mosques in Islamic history proves how the development of science became a symbol of the greatness of a civilization. Lifelong Learning (LPH) is a process of acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies either formally or informally based on experience and training. However, not all institutions are ready to change their approach to increase competitiveness and also the appreciation of knowledge in life. The study shows that the factors of leadership and good relations with the community have an impact on the change of mosque institutions, depending on the atmosphere such as the existence of goals, organizational structure, energy resources and organizational culture. The mosque institution is a suitable place to generate thoughts and appreciation of Islam by empowering the internal and external potential of a member of the community. The research that will be conducted aims to find answers about the level of awareness and involvement of the community in the activities carried out by the mosque. This study uses a qualitative research design and is supported by quantitative research findings. A total of 90 respondents from three mosques were selected to answer the survey questions and analyzed using the SPSS program to see the achievements from a percentage point of view. This data was then analyzed using ATLAS.ti to produce descriptive and interpretive reported themes and categories. The findings of the study show several factors that influence PSH, namely: management, learning activities, leadership, support and community relations as well as knowledge culture.
